Daniel A. Sanchez

Judge Daniel A. Sanchez is a member of The Waggoner Legal Group in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He has more than thirty-two (32) years of legal experience. His practice has primarily been in natural resources, with an emphasis on water issues. He has extensive experience in civil litigation, including personal injury and governmental law.

Daniel is retired from the First Judicial District Court bench, where he presided primarily in civil cases. He has been active in water rights litigation as a special master and litigator, and was appointed as the Water Law Judge for this District by the New Mexico Supreme Court.
Judge Sanchez has done numerous presentations on courtroom etiquette and trial advocacy. Judge Sanchez was an active member of the New Mexico District Judge’s Association, where he served as Vice President. He has also been involved and active with youth programs for more than thirty (30) years.
